‘Inspired by 30×30’ exhibition in the Upper Gallery at Diss Corn Hall ends on Saturday 14th August. The exhibition is FREE to visit, and is open Mon-Sat 10am to 3pm.
designermakers21 and friends take inspiration from the theme ’30×30′ and interpret it freely to accommodate a range of 2D and 3D work across disciplines.
Artists’ work includes constructed and applied textiles, print, design, sculpture, jewellery, mosaic, stained glass and ceramics.
Fay Jones is pleased to present her first solo show, in the Upstairs Gallery at designermakers21. The exhibition will be open from Thursday 9th September during gallery hours Thurs-Sat 10am to 5pm.
“Breckland is a place of long mysteries and small wonders. Ignoring modern boundaries it is a strongly defined landscape that allows for deep thought and contemplation. By keen observation and many exploratory wanderings, the lands wild undercurrents become apparent.
Using the rich natural resources of this stark environment, the many notional fragments are now collected into a whole. Made in wood, bark, chalk and bone, with nods to the ways of earlier times by using experimentally cast bronze, wild plant fibres and natural dyes.”
An exhibition of art by local people, celebrating their talent and creativity. On display in the Upstairs Gallery space at designermakers21, the exhibition features a wonderful variety of work including paintings, prints, ceramics, fibre art and constructed textiles.
The exhibition is free to visit, and is open Thurs-Sat 10am to 5pm.
In collaboration, designermakers21 and The Cornhall Diss are putting together 4 exhibitions in Constructed Textiles from 21 May – 26 June.
At The Corn Hall there will be exhibitions by Margo Selby, a celebration of Weave (a collection of artists practising weave) along with Yoshi Shionagawa, a photographer. Open Monday – Saturday 10 – 4pm.
At designermakers21 a vibrant and colourful exhibition by local SAORI weavers. Open Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays 10 – 5pm. This exhibition unites SAORI weavers showing the boundless and creative potential that exists within and connects us all.
